When AND 1 called and asked Grayson to participate in the Streetball the video game, he wasn’t quite prepared to have sensors hooked up to every part of his body.
“It’s called ‘motion capturing’ and it captured all my moves. It was a lot harder than I expected. My session took about 5 or 6 hours, but it was all fun. At first it feels funny wearing a skin tight suit and hooping with the sensors, but you get used to it. By the end of your session, you are exhausted! I did a lot of motion capturing this year in San Francisco for NBA 2K9, I’m a secret character in the game, but I did all the moves and jumpshots. So, if you are playing 2K9, you’ll be watching my motion capture work.
It’s been a pretty fun experience and I’ve been blessed with being able to work with cool people. That makes the work fun and exciting.”
Grayson will be hooping again for the sequel to the AND 1 Streetball which is scheduled for release in 2010.
